IKKI TENRYOU
Ikki is a young boy who dreams of becoming the world's greatest medafighter. He constantly argues with his super-independent medabot Metabee and hopes to be a world-class robattler one day, as well as get the attention of Karin, a rich girl he has a crush on.
METABEE
Considered an old piece of junk by opponents, and even Ikki for a while, Metabee is a Hercules beetle-type medabot (KBT-11220). Powered by a rare medal that gives him enhanced ability and a bad attitude, Metabee is armed with seeker missiles, a laser cannon and a sharp tongue.
ERIKAIkki's best friend and biggest critic, she's a reporter for the school paper whose nose for trouble often lands Ikki and Metabee in a jam.
KOJIA Rosewood Private School snob, he's Ikki's main competition in robattles and for Karin, whom he attended kindergarten with.
PHANTOM RENEGADEA master thief who conceals a secret identity from the kids, he specializes in stealing rare medals

In the year 2122 A.D. every kid owns a high-performance medabot, a pet robot with artificial intelligence and specific strength controlled solely by its owner. Kids compete against one another in confrontations known as robattles. A young boy named Ikki yearns to one day robattle but doesn't have the money to buy a medabot. When he stumbles upon a mysterious medal, the hardware
of a medabot's brain, he decides to buy an obsolete, bargain-basement medabot named Metabee (voiced by Joe). Together, they robattle their way through numerous adventures against various opponents, in an attempt to become world champion robattlers ... and friends.
